NEW OFFERING!
Infant Massage Class
Five weeks of touch, connection,
and learning with your baby

There are moments in early motherhood when you find yourself holding a fussy baby and wondering:

What else can I do? How can it get easier to soothe my baby?

Infant massage offers a gentle, practical way to support your baby while also helping you learn more about who they are, how they communicate, and what helps them feel safe and connected.

This five-week, in-person class is designed for mothers and pre-crawling babies who want more than a set of massage strokes.

You’ll learn ways to use gentle touch to support your baby’s comfort, health, development, and regulation — while also becoming more confident in reading your baby’s cues and understanding the communication that is already happening between you.

More than a massage class

This class offers more than a protocol for doing massage with your baby.

Along with learning the infant massage routine, you’ll have access to 33 years of clinical experience in infant development, feeding, communication, regulation, and parent-baby relationships.

This is a place to:

  • Learn infant massage gradually, without feeling overwhelmed

  • Become more confident reading your baby’s cues

  • Explore gentle ways to support digestive comfort, including reflux and constipation concerns

  • Learn ways to make Tummy Time more supportive and manageable

  • Ask questions about your baby’s development

  • Explore movement ideas you can use at home

  • Learn to become curious about what your baby is communicating

  • Spend intentional one-on-one time with your baby

  • Connect with other mothers navigating the first year postpartum

  • Feel more confident telling your baby’s story

Most of all, I want you to leave feeling that you have more ways to respond when your baby needs you.

What you’ll learn

The infant massage routine is divided into five parts so that you and your baby have time to learn, practice, and build familiarity from week to week.

Week 1 — Foundations, Arms and Legs

We’ll begin with the benefits of infant massage, general teaching about touch and baby cues, and massage strokes for the legs, feet, arms, and hands.

Week 2 — Tummy & Digestive Comfort

We’ll focus on tummy massage and a gentle digestive comfort routine, along with movement ideas you can use with your baby.

Week 3 — Face, Head & Oral-Motor Support

We’ll learn massage for the face and head, with an additional oral-motor component.

Week 4 — Chest & Back

We’ll add massage strokes for the chest and back and continue building the complete routine.

Week 5 — Putting It All Together

We’ll review the full massage sequence, practice together, answer questions, and talk about how to continue using what you’ve learned at home.

Every session includes time to check in, review the previous week, share what you noticed about your baby, learn and practice new material, and leave with a simple focus for the week ahead.

Your baby does not have to “cooperate”

Babies are babies.

They may need to eat.

They may need a diaper change.

They may fall asleep.

They may cry.

They may simply decide that massage is not what they want that day.

That is all welcome here.

You and your baby will be met where you are.

If your baby isn’t interested in being massaged during class, you can watch, practice with guidance, ask questions, and learn the material for another time.

Responding to your baby’s cues is not an interruption to the class.  It is part of the class.

This is a space for gentle touch, connection, and bonding — but simply being present, learning, and noticing your baby is valuable too.

Who this class is for

This group is designed primarily for mothers and their pre-crawling babies, approximately birth through 7–8 months.

Another caregiver is welcome to participate if that is the better fit for your family.

You might especially enjoy this class if you:

  • Would love to meet a few other mothers in a small, comfortable setting

  • Want special, intentional time with your baby

  • Are preparing to return to work or adjusting to being back at work

  • Have questions about your baby’s development

A few common questions

What if my baby cries or hates massage?

That’s okay.

We follow your baby’s cues. You are never expected to continue massage if your baby is telling you they need something different.

You may feed, comfort, change, hold, watch, or simply learn the strokes for another time.

The goal is not to make your baby complete a massage routine.

The goal is to help you understand and respond to your baby.

What if I already know I’ll miss one of the classes?

Please reach out before registering so we can talk about the date you’ll miss and whether a make-up option may be available.

What if I start the class and realize it isn’t right for me?

Please talk with me.

I would want to understand what isn’t working for you first. If you decide not to continue, unused classes may be refunded on a prorated basis at my discretion.

Do I need to be a current patient?

No.

You do not need to be a current client or patient to join the infant massage class.

What I hope you take home

At the end of these five weeks, I hope you can say:

“I learned so much about my baby.”

Not only how to perform massage strokes, but how to read your baby’s cues, how to support Tummy Time, how to notice the communication that is already happening between you, and how to respond with more confidence.

I hope you feel witnessed.

I hope you feel supported.

And I hope you leave with more ways to comfort your baby — and a deeper trust in the relationship you are already building together.
