Intensive Programs
SD Logo 2

Like many aspects of my practice, you can create an intensive program to jump start or boost your progress. This might mean working with you and your child or giving yourself the opportunity to immerse yourself in healing work for a short period of time. These intensives are Individually Designed and Outcome Oriented.

You can choose 2 different types of intensives:

  • Focusing daily for a 1–2-week period, including up to an hour of in person contact with virtual check-ins daily, or

  • A half or full day (or more) of in person work designed for deeper core shifts

Intensives include:

  • An intake where we can discuss your needs, goals and plan selection

  • Session 1: Baseline assessment of target and peripheral skills

  • Session 2: Getting oriented and digging in

  • Subsequent sessions address goals and utilize any modalities needed with daily work

  • Final session: Recap and re-evaluation with a focus on how goals were met and determining next steps

Examples of possible intensives:

  • CST for baby and mama to release birth trauma

  • Getting ready for release of tongue ties

  • Baby or toddler feeding challenges

  • Jump start healing of a chronic health condition

  • Child communication challenges (articulation and jump-starting communication)

Payment Policy

Payment for most services is private pay. I can help you request reimbursement from your HSA/FSA. For speech pathology specific services, please contact me for information about what may be billable to your primary insurance.

Cancellation Policy
Frequent absences and missed sessions impact the overall progress your child can make in treatment. And while emergencies do occur, they should not happen frequently. Effective immediately, the new policy is as follows:

  • Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours before your scheduled time to avoid a late cancellation fee of at least $50, up to the cost of your session. This fee can be waived at my sole discretion, and individual circumstances can be discussed on an as-needed basis. Valid cancellations include family emergency or severe and sudden illness. Other reasons, including transportation or childcare issues, travel, family event/tickets to an event will be subject to the policy.

  • Please also be reminded that the illness policy remains in effect throughout the year. Please do not come into the office if you or your child are sick, just to avoid the charge.

  • You can also avoid the fee by rescheduling the appointment.
